Founder's Day 2015 鈥� This is Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture celebrated its 110th anniversary yesterday in the Ruminant Animal Centre.聽 Faculty, staff, students and alumni broke out their boots and NSAC gear in celebration of our agricultural history.聽 Professor Lauranne Sanderson toasted our past while Dean David Gray toasted our future.聽

Guests viewed the top five finalists in the This is Agriculture photo contest and the winning entry was selected.聽 Congratulations are extended to Janice MacIssac for her winning photo.聽 She will be the proud new owner of a pair of Hunter boots!

Thanks are also extended to Dick Huggard and his team from the Antique Farm Equipment Museum who also provided a display.聽

Undefeated Woodsmen

Submitted by Kyle Gallant. The first time in the history of woodsmen at the AC that both the Mens and Womens teams went undefeated throughout the season and took home both championship trophies in the Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjack Association league. We were also selected as team of the year by the Truro Sport Heritage Society.

It teaches members commitment, leadership, pride in their hard work and many other attributes that the youth of today's society should all be learning. The best way to learn them is by getting involved on the farm!

First Barley Party
