On 23 January the Faculty of Agriculture and Dal-AC International Office hosted Ms. Xinyu Yang, Minister Counsellor of Educational Affairs, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Canada in Ottawa.
Joining Ms. Yang were Second Secretary Ms. Zhiwen Li, and Second Secretary Ms. Meifen Zhu. Associate Dean Academic Dr. Claude Caldwell provided our guests a history and overview of the Dal-AC partnership with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) and Ms. Yang explained her role with the Embassy, which centers on building and strengthening partnerships between academic institutions in Canada and China.
Faculty, staff and FAFU students participated in the information luncheon, and the Embassy delegation subsequently visited several laboratories and facilities on campus. The International Office extends a warm thanks to all that made the visit a success.
