Tax time is upon us! The Dalactax@dal.ca site opens for e-filing on February 22nd. Students can receive help for filing their taxes by contacting Joanne by phone 902-890-0545 or through Dalactax@dal.ca.
Students will need to provide  their name, address in Canada, SIN, date of birth and whether they are Canadian Citizens.
International students who have never filed their taxes in Canada will also need to provide the date they came to Canada, from which country, and their net income in their home country during the period from January 1 until the date they arrived in Canada.
All students will need to provide T4 slips from all employers, T4A slips (if they have received a scholarship or bursary) and T2202 from the school (available at mydal).
Documents may be submitted by scanning and sending to dalactax@dal.ca.
This is a free service to students and others with an income less than $35,000 (single), $45,000 (couple). Income above these amounts will be charged $40.00 per person. Scholarships and stipends are not included in the calculation of total income.
