⴫ý students are being asked to kick-start a fundraising campaign that could transform the university, and catapult their school into its third century at the top of the Canadian heap.

⴫ýÕs next major capital fundraising campaign is still on the drawing board, but a $25-million commitment from students will make for a compelling and impressive case when fundraisers go to meet potential donors. The focus of the capital campaign will be students, says ⴫ýÕs Vice President for External Relations Floyd Dykeman.

ÒThe campaign will be about raising money to enhance the ⴫ý experience for all students; to ensure that ⴫ý -remains accessible to qualified students who may not have the financial wherewithal; to build partnerships with the community outside the university; and to perpetuate the greatest ⴫ý tradition of them all, that the graduates of this school go on to make outstanding contributions to their province, region, country and the world.”  Ñ DN
