Researchers have helped battle Rift Valley Fever by vaccinating cattle in Rwanda, setting up early warning system and gaining a better understanding of this hemorrhagic virus.

The ÈâÈ⴫ý community comes together this afternoon to celebrate individual achievements of excellence at the fifth-annual Legacy Awards, including Dal’s newest Distinguished Research Professors and faculty members receiving President’s Research Excellence Awards.

A delegation from the Dal-hosted research centre will attend COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt this month, participating in a range events and meetings with world leaders in science, policy, and philanthropy.

David Woods — artist, community builder and curator of African Nova Scotian stories — is set to receive one of ÈâÈ⴫ý's highest honours as part of Fall Convocation ceremonies this November.
