Samples of human wastewater from several Dal residences are being collected and tested regularly for traces of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, an early detection effort that adds another layer of protection at Dal.

Dal's vice president research and innovation is being honoured by Queen's University this year for her work in advancing the health and well-being of military personnel, Veterans and their families — including spearheading the creation of a cross-Canada network centred on military and veteran health research.
