Dal and partner researchers have begun collecting human wastewater samples at sites across Nova Scotia in an ambitious project that could help detect the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19 well before it can spread.

Dr. David Pilon, director of counselling and psychological services at Dal’s Student Health & Wellness Centre, has been awarded a lifetime contribution award from the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia for his advocacy, mentorship and leadership in the field.

Dal joined the prestigious top 200 cohort in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Global University Employability Rankings for 2020, a list developed with input from nearly 9,000 recruiters in more than 22 countries.
