Change Management Simulation Workshop

Dates for the Change Management Simulation Workshop to be announced
Would you board a plane knowing it was the pilot's first time flying? |
|---|
Pilots undergo hours of simulation training before they’re cleared to fly a real passenger plane. In many ways, leaders and pilots are alike. Both guide others toward new destinations, whether they’re navigating 40,000 feet of open air or four months of organizational change. Both must adapt when challenges arise, yet only pilots are required to test their new skills before taking off.
This nine-hour in-person professional workshop enables participants to develop skills and a shared language to better navigate change. It will help participants identify change-related challenges and evaluate leadership strengths, focusing on project accelerators, such as understanding the business imperative, engaging with key stakeholders, co-creating the vision, motivating and mobilizing the organization and experimenting to generate quick wins.
How does this change management training work? |
|---|
The workshop uses presentations, active discussions, experiential activities, and an award-winning simulation. Simulations are a powerful form of experiential learning (Learning by doing) that mirrors real-world scenarios. It provides hands-on practice of required skills for change management, such as adaptability, communication, and consensus-building, in an engaging, low-risk environment. The simulation used in the workshop gamifies learning through an interactive experience simulating the life of a team leading change in a fictional organization, challenging people to work together.
This training has been used by top institutions for over 25 years, with proven results across 69 countries, as it provides a clear mapping of change models like Kotter, CAP, and ADKAR into the simulation.
By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Apply an outcome-oriented change management model.
- Develop essential power skills such as empathy, influence, and adaptability.
- Achieve higher buy-in by engaging key stakeholders with intent and clarity of purpose.
- Accelerate adoption with a communication approach that aligns and empowers people.
- Improve engagement by developing an empathetic and people-centred mindset.
- Evaluate forces that drive and restrain change to mitigate change resistance.
- Avoid defaulting to old behaviours by solidifying change.
A certificate of completion will be issued upon completion of the workshop.
