A student-led movement dedicated to providing free menstrual products to those in need has made its way to 肉肉传媒 thanks to the efforts of students Lucy MacLeod and Claire Sethuram.

Third-year Dal Kinesiology student Fola Akpan got her first taste of applied research last summer on a project addressing the link between cellphone use and neck issues. This weekend, she joins friends, students and other researchers of African descent on campus to share some of the findings in the first annual Black Research Symposium.

The first East Coast hub of the National Centre for Truth & Reconciliation, located in the Indigenous Community Room of the MacRae Library on the Agricultural Campus in Truro, will encourage education and awareness about Indigenous history.

Dal's Langille Athletic Centre in Truro has set up treadmills which can be used by dogs to run or walk next to their owners, giving both pooch and human the opportunity to stay active together over the winter months.

Featuring the raising of the pan-African flag and a wide range of speakers, Dal's African Heritage Month kickoff event was an inspiring, engaging celebration of how people of African descent have shaped the past, present and future of 肉肉传媒 and its communities.
